Chayanne, Marc Anthony and Marco Antonio Solis have a fiesta at Gigantes Tour

Combine three international Latin voices, musicians, dancers on one stage and add fans for a big fiesta (party). Marco Antonio Solís, Chayanne and Marc Anthony’s goal is well underway with Gigantes Tour 2012 which kicked off in Miami with two concerts and then in Orlando this weekend.

It was a mixed group of ages and nationalities that traveled close and far to be a part of Gigantes history at Amway Center in Orlando. One young fan stated she grew up listening to Latin music and loved the music of all three but her overall favorite is Marc Anthony. Another one made it obvious Chayanne was her favorite as she screamed a top of her lungs leaving everyone around her with ringing ears. But regardless, the arena stayed full from the farthest seats to the closest until the end of the almost three and a half hour concert.

.Video: Chayanne, Marc Anthony and Marco Antonio Solis sizzling performance at Gigantes Tour in Orlando, FL.The props of a cowboy hat set on stage gave it away as for Marco Antonio Solís would be opening in Orlando. His female dancers started dancing before Solís appeared dressed in a black suit with a white open button down shirt on the highest platform on stage, which was the entrance and exit for Marc Anthony and Chayanne as well, opening his performance with ‘No Puedo Olvidarla’ followed by ‘Si Te Pudiera Mentir’. His lengthy repertoire of Mexican ballads and pop included ‘Morenita,’ ‘Mi Eterno Amor Secreto,’ ‘Tú Me Vuelves Loco,’ ‘Tu Cárcel,’ ‘El Milagrito,’ ‘O Me Voy O Te Vas,’ ‘Adónde Vamos a Parar,’ ‘Más Que Un Amigo,’ and closing with ‘Si No Te Hubieras Ido.’ To mention his dancers whose costumes varied from show girls to cowboy hats with Solís dancing along with them a few times. One was able to enjoy not only his music and dancers but also a few videos shown on the screens to go along with his songs.

A quick change up of musicians and the clue for the next performer was the letters MA displayed on the huge screen that set the arena in an uproar for Marc Anthony. It doesn’t matter what month he appears in Orlando (he usually ends his tours towards September in Florida but this time it was the start of his tour) he’s welcomed with lots of love, applause and uproar from all genders and ages. A few times he was flabbergasted and finally knelt down to kiss the ground. “Orlando,” he yelled followed by a kiss for all.

Dressed in his usual color black and sporting shades Marc full of energy and smiling as he goes down the stairs to be closer to his fan and then belts out his first vocals to ‘Valio la Pena.’ Marc’s vocals and physical energy is so overwhelming with his band adding the extra perk to make everything blend beautifully. He had no need for back up dancers as he danced all around and made sure to cover every inch of the stage for all to see him; he even climbed on top of a speaker. He was flirtatious and his facial expressions at times were funny. It was song after song of tropical salsa and a few ballads – ‘Y Hubo Alguien,’ ‘Hasta Ayer,’ ‘Vivir Lo Nuestro,’ ‘Y Cómo Es El’ sung with Marco Antonio Solís, ‘No Hay Nadie Como Ella,’ ‘Mi Gente,’ ‘Te Conozco Bien,’ and ‘Tu Amor Me Hace Bien.’

It was obvious Chayanne was next to perform of which he took the time to express his gratitude of support on a long planned project finally fulfilled that wouldn’t have been possible without the people behind the scenes – lighting, stage crew and of course the musicians and dancers.

Chayanne’s set included numerous outfit changes mostly tight fitted as he's accustomed too, male and female dancers, lots of hip swaying and lighting effects for his shifting of ballads to upbeat pop hits. It was ‘Baila Baila,’ ‘Dejaría Todo,’ ‘El Centro De Mi Corazón,’ ‘Lola,’ ‘Y Tú Te Vas,’ ‘Un Siglo Sin Ti’ sung with Marc, ‘Tu Boca,’ ‘Si Nos Quedara Poco Tiempo,’ ‘Salome,’ ‘Me Enamoré De Ti,’ ‘Torero,’ and ‘Provócame’ ending his lengthy and sweaty performance.

And for the grand finale, all three reappeared on stage together for a short potpourri of selected hits of each one. Marc Anthony led off with his salsa ‘Dimelo’ switching from the Spanish version to the English version with Chayanne and Marco Antonio Solís and adding a few dance movements. Then it was Marco Antonio’s romantic ballad ‘Dónde Esta Mi Primavera,’ that led into Chayanne’s all-time popular party favorite ‘Fiesta en America’ that even provoked Marc and Marco Antonio to join Chayanne to swing along too. Everyone was on their feet dancing and singing along as Marc Anthony, Chayanne and Marco Antonio Solís ended the fiesta successfully as three amicable giants in Latin music.

Undoubtedly they are three giant Latin international, American and I must include worldwide professional singers that unite all nationalities through their distinctive music genres.

The Gigantes Tour will visit 13 more cities in the United States including New Jersey, Connecticut, Illinois, California, Texas and ending in Las Vegas September 14.
