Three of the biggest names in Latin music-salsa singer Marc Anthony, romantic balladeer Marco Antonio Solis and pop vocalist Chayanne-are teaming up for a U.S. tour that will take them to 14 cities, the trio announced during a press conference at the American Airlines Arena.
The tour, called "GIGANT3S" ("GIANTS"), is being produced by Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) and will include stops in Chicago, Anaheim, Calif., and Las Vegas.
The three crooners, who have previously worked together, presented plans for their tour during a press conference on Monday and took questions from members of the media.
"I think it's helped that we worked together," Anthony said. "We all want to present a spectacle that connects the three of us in one show. Our fans deserve this kind of show."
CMN, which last week announced another tour featuring Joan Sebastian, Pepe Aguilar and Shaila Durcal, three big names in Mexican music, said that the "GIGANT3S" tour is one for the history books.
"It is the first time that three leading artists of their genre come together for a major tour," said CMN President/CEO Henry Cardenas. We're excited to kick off the tour and I'm confident that fans will enjoy this unique musical event."
During the press conference, Anthony said that one of his biggest achievements to date has been co-executive producing "Q'Viva!: The Chosen," which recently ended its first season and plans are in the works to produce a second version of the show, which in the upcoming weeks will also be seen in a Las Vegas show.
Tickets for "GIGANT3S go on sale April 26 and can be purchased by calling (800) 745-3000 or by going to ticketmaster.com.
